1887-1951
Boggs was well-known across Nebraska as a leading auto racer in the 1920's and 1930's. Driving home built cars, he dominated many of the local fair races of his time across Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas. He was considered the best known auto racer Beatrice has ever produced into the 1950's. Tragically, in 1951, he was struck and killed by an out of control race car at the Beatrice Race Track while serving as the flagman.
