George "Andy" Anderson competed against some of Nebraska's best drivers every-Gordy Shuck, Frank Brennfoerder, Joe Saldana, Jan Opperman and Lloyd Beckman to name a few. He would begin his long list of honors by driving his #69 "Belle of Belleville" to the 1951 and 1952 Beatrice Track Championships and the 1952 Roy Boggs Memorial Race Championship. These successes would lead him to the 1951,1952 and 1955 Nebraska Auto Racing Associations Championship Cups, several Top 10 National Rankings in the IMCA and UMCA sanctions and even 2 world speed records.

Even after competing across the country inclunding 16 states and 150 different race tracks, he still lists the Old Beatrice Speedway as one his all time favorites and Roy Boggs Memorial Trophy as his most prized trophy of his career.

He would go on to become an official with the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Assn, the Big Car Racing Assn and the Nebraska Auto Racing Assn. and cap his career as a 25 year official with USAC, the INDY 500, and the IRL racing series.

He is a Belleville High Banks Hall of Fame member, an Innaugural Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame Inductee and is now one of the most decorated members of the Beatrice Speedway Hall of Fame.
